Royally clothed! And attired by The King!

.
After my previous post (A Slip of a Word), I've been thinking. I've been thinking of just how God Himself clothes those 'proclaiming skins' of His after He's purchased them!

Not only does our Savior, His Son, live inside us with His Spirit.

And not only does the proclamation of Him live in us.

But then, our Lord clothes those skins in the finest apparel ever! Those skins that were bought and fought and paid for with His Son's very own precious blood! (Woe, at the cost and at what price He paid for them! Wow, at what worth they are to the King!)

God sent His Son Jesus to:
  • To come and preach the good news of Him to us in our poverty.
  • He was sent to bind up our heart's brokenness.
  • He came to free us from all that had captured us and release us from the darkness of our prisons.
  • He came to tell us of His favor upon us.
  • He came to comfort us when we mourn and to provide for whatever our needs are in our grief.

And then......

After removing the ashes of sadness upon our heads, HE CROWNS us with BEAUTY!

Instead of our mourning, He anoints our head with GLADNESS!

In place of our being wrapped with a spirit of despair, He wraps us instead in a GARMENT OF PRAISE!

We are now clothed in a GARMENT OF SALVATION!

We are now arrayed in a ROBE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS!

How's that for a son or daughter now fit (and fitted) by The King!

Aren't these two cute in their apparel? The thing of it is.... our royal attire is no pretend dress-up. Our royal dress is eternal and for real! More real than we've ever imagined. Woo, and let me remind you, no earthly dress will ever compare to our Heavenly one! There really, really, really, really, really, really, really is a Kingdom! (See here... and here.)

"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion - to bestow on THEM A CROWN OF BEAUTY instead of ashes, the OIL OF GLADNESS instead of mourning, and a GARMENT OF PRAISE instead of a spirit of despair. THEY WILL be called oaks of righteousness, a planting for the LORD for the display of His splendor. THEY WILL rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated: THEY WILL renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations. Aliens will shepherd your flocks, foreigners will work your fields and vineyards. And YOU WILL be called priests of the LORD, YOU WILL be ministers of our God.... I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For He has clothed me with GARMENTS OF SALVATION and arrayed me in a ROBE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with jewels. For as the soil makes the sprout to come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and raise spring up before all nations." ~ Isaiah 61
