Not forgiving someone because they've hurt y....
Not forgiving someone because they've hurt you [or hurt your feelings] is holding a grudge [I discussed this with a friend yesterday], and that's something that we're taught not to do. Four very major Scriptures that remind us of the ugliness of grudges and why we are not to hold them and are to let go of them are:

1) "And Herodias was angry (enraged) with him and HELD A GRUDGE against him and wanted to kill him..." (AMP) /// "so Herodias NURSED A GRUDGE against John and wanted to kill him..." (NIV)~ Mark 6:19

2) "Esau HELD A GRUDGE against Jacob because of the blessing his father had given him. He said to himself, "The days of mourning for my father are near, then I will kill my brother Jacob." When Rebekah was told what her older son Esau had said, she sent for her younger son Jacob and said to him, "Your brother Esau is consoling himself with the thoughts of killing you." (NIV) ~ Gen 27:41-42 [prime example: Gen 4:6-7]

3) "But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are HOLDING A GRUDGE against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too." (NLT) ~ Mark 11:25

4) "GRUDGE NOT one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door." (KJV) ~ James 5:9Sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12005695519129502934noreply@blogger.com
